Particle analysis is used in many fields of research and different industries, with those related to Life science being by far the most important. Particles which need to be detected and analyzed include a wide range of particles for drug and vaccine delivery, pharmaceutical components, bacteria, virus, extracellular vesicles, protein aggregates. Particle analysis is also important for detection of unwanted foreign particles in liquid pharmaceutical preparations, in particular for detection of protein aggregates in biopharmaceuticals.
